New Requirements for Processing Personal Data

The FBK Legal team has reviewed new personal data requirements.

Effective 1 September 2025, amendments to the Personal Data Law will come into force: consent for personal data processing will have to be obtained as a standalone document. Currently, when registering on a website or a mobile application, users accept general terms of service that include a clause about consenting to personal data processing among other conditions.

Existing consents for personal data processing obtained earlier as part of other documents remain valid. However, all new consents obtained starting 1 September 2025, must comply with the updated requirements.
