Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal Partner, co-authored the first ever commentary to the Russian legislation on arbitration under the editorship of the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA). Over 40 leading local and international lawyers contributed to the drafting of a practical legal article-by-article commentary to the legislation on courts of arbitration.
“The newly adopted legislation that went into effect September last year has largely changed the landscape of arbitration proceedings, with the released commentary intended to bring more clarity to it. Historically, such publications have been developed by theoreticians. This time the publication was authored by practicing lawyers. The proposed explanations and recommendations may be applied in day-to-day routines,” Alexander Ermolenko noted.
The Russian Arbitration Association (RAA) unites legal practitioners, law firms and academics. The main objective of the Association is cooperation in the development of arbitration in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, popularizing Russia as a venue for arbitration, promotion of Russian arbitrators at national and international levels.
