Legal considerations on the renovation initiative. FBK partner at the Ъ construction and development conference

Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal Partner, took part in the Good-Sized Development conference organised by the Kommersant Publishing House. The conference has brought together the federal level officials, the national government authorities and representatives of the largest developers to exchange views on urban planning perspectives.

One of the most pressing and much discussed issues is the territorial renovation. The renovation initiative provides for the demolition of the so called five-storey blocks of flats. Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal Partner, dwelt on the legal considerations of this initiative and potential legal pitfalls.

“The proposed bill on the renovation of the Moscow capital territories, much debated in the State Duma, has been in the lime light recently. I’m truly encouraged by the opportunity we had to discuss the issue at such a high level, hopefully, not in vain, and the constitutional rights of Moscovites will not be violated,” the lawyer noted.
