FBK Legal gave a workshop at the MSU Summer School of Masters

Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal Partner, gave a workshop “M&A transaction mechanics” designed for law students as part of the MSU Summer School of Masters. The School historically has brought together best-in-class experts in a variety of areas of law and representatives of major local and international law firms.

Alexander Ermolenko dwelt on the mechanics of M&A deals and on the structure of the M&A process itself, from choosing the investment target to closing the deal. ?A deal is a very subtle process which requires from a lawyer a combination of knowledge of law and practical skills. The workshop I gave was specifically devoted to the knowledge and skills required to get a deal accomplished,? Alexander Ermolenko noted.

The Summer School of Masters was established as the successor to the Summer School under the auspices of the Chair for entrepreneurial law. This year the Summer School of Masters celebrates its 10th anniversary. The first day saw workshops and practical seminars hosted by the Department of Law, MSU. In the second day an open-air discussion of topical law issues was held combined with a sports programme for the participants.
