FBK Legal Joins Electric Cable Association Conference

Sergei and Alexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal lawyers, made presentations at the general meeting of company heads of the Electric Cable Association, a non-commercial organization.

Alexander, an FBK Legal Partner, spoke about the company's protection against internal and external threats. "There will always be risks for businesses. This includes both criminal persecution for regulatory non-compliance, which has become almost routine, and absolutely new risks created by the rapidly changing law. We united our rich experience to develop safeguards from such threats," said Alexander.

Sergei Ermolenko shared the recent trends in the policy of the Russian Anti-Monopoly Service regarding review of discriminatory tender requirements. "To stay off the radar of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service, you need to understand clearly which tender requirements giving some companies an advantage over others can be seen as discriminatory. These can be requirements that involve the supplier's obligation to provide security deposits or bank guarantees, or render certain extra services, or any others," summarized Sergei. ?

?The Electric Cable Association brings together companies, organizations and firms from Russia and the CIS. The Association includes nearly all the cable factories of the post-Soviet space.
