FBK Legal is a Partner of the ICC Moot Court Competition 2019

FBK Legal has supported the Russian International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition 2019 held by the Higher School of Economics, the International Criminal Court and the national group of the International Association of Penal Law.

Head of Practice Marina Balandina, who judged one of oral rounds, says that the geographical coverage of the moot court competition expands every year. For example, the Far Eastern Federal University has taken part in the competition for the first time.

“It is pleasant to see that the teams have very good training. It is a great privilege to participate in the event that spreads knowledge about international law and human rights,” she says.

The ICC Moot Court is a competition in international criminal law held as a moot court simulating the proceedings of the International Criminal Court. It has three rounds that bring together teams from Russian universities. At the first round the teams prepared written memorials to support their position, at the second round the 15 best teams participated in oral rounds and at the third round the three best teams will present their positions before the judges of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.??
