Angelina Balakina is a senior lawyer, who joined FBK Legal in 2016.

She has experience in resolving legal issues in consulting and judicial projects pertaining to civil, corporate and employment law.

Expertise in civil, procedural, corporate, employment, IT and insolvency (bankruptcy) law.

A member of the Russian Privacy Professionals Association, the first Russian community of privacy experts.

Major projects:

  • a comprehensive project to ensure data protection compliance of a Japanese motor vehicle manufacturer, and a Japanese manufacturer of electronic musical instruments and musical software;

  • legal support of a big leasing company on legal matters related to personal data protection and processing during the implementation of finance lease programmes;

  • comprehensive audit of personal data processing procedures, documents and information systems, development of local regulations on personal data protection and processing for many Russian and international companies;

  • over 20 due diligence projects, including due diligence of two big retail chains, a big fuel and energy company, a group of companies that provide professional textile care services, a big construction company, a big oilfield services company, a fishery company, an IT company, three coal mining companies, a group of ceramic manufacturers.

  • legal support to start joint Russian-Korean car manufacturing in Russia;

  • support of a judicial dispute to claim court costs reimbursement of over RUB 650,000;

  • support of employment disputes, including for such companies as Emarsys, Teva and Actavis;

  • support of several judicial disputes over corporate reputation protection;

  • issuing an opinion on customs regulation of goods production for internal consumption;

  • issuing an opinion on the legality of loan repatriation under the currency law;

  • development of required documents for incentive employee stock option plans;

  • support of a judicial dispute over subsidiary liability related to the bankruptcy of a big construction company;

  • developing a legal strategy to challenge a transaction for RUB 25 million in view of the bankruptcy of a manufacturing company.
