FBK Legal Supports ICC Moot Court Competition

16 April 2018

FBK Legal has supported the Moot Court Competition 2018, an educational project annually held by the Higher School of Economics with the participation and support of the International Criminal Court and the Russian national group of the International Association of Penal Law.

FBK Legal Partner Alexander Ermolenko says that the firm is actively participating in several educational projects. “I believe that such projects as ICC Moot Court Competition are more than just a game. They make it possible to develop the skills of world-class experts and gain the experience that is unlikely to be obtained even while working for a Russian law firm,” FBK Legal Partner says.

The ICC Moot Court is a competition in international criminal law held as a moot court simulating the proceedings of the International Criminal Court. At the first round the teams prepared written memorials to support their position acting in three roles, namely the defence, the prosecution and the advocate of a third state (or victims). At the second round 13 best teams participated in oral pleadings before a panel of three judges. Three best teams will present their positions before the judges of the International Criminal Court in the Hague. ??
