FBK Legal at KEF

01 April 2019

FBK Legal’s Partner Alexander Ermolenko has spoken at the session “Anti-Trust Regulation or Support to National Champions. Which Path Should Russia Take?” held at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.?

He said that nurturing ?national champions? is a losing battle if we continue to talk about the market economy. ?It is obvious: the economy is either market or controlled, there are either equal rights for everybody and competition or allowances for the chosen ones and monopoly. And when we select the second option, we should understand that it is the lack of robust competition in the recent years that has caused stagnation in the economy while it could have been growing,? Alexander Ermolenko said.

The Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF) is one of the most significant annual economic conferences in Russia held at the regional level. It is arranged by the Government of Krasnoyarsk Region with the support from the Russian Government. The forum makes it possible to initiate big investment projects, discuss anti-crisis ideas at round tables and arrange exhibitions.
