FBK Legal Contributes to the Establishment of the Russian-Chinese Joint Venture

FBK Legal’s lawyers have provided legal support for the establishment of the Russian-Chinese joint venture to allow for the modernisation of thermal power plants in Russia.

Together with its long-standing partner, China Heilongjiang Quantum Law Firm, FBK Legal helped Harbin Electric Corporation to enter into an agreement for the establishment of a joint venture in Russia and draft incorporation and other internal documents. FBK Legal acted as the project legal advisor for the Chinese party.

The established joint venture that unites Russian, Chinese and Singaporean firms will participate in the tender for the modernisation of thermal power generation facilities approved by Resolution of the Russian Government No. 43 dated 25 January 2019. The modernisation programme will provide for additional RUB 1.9 trillion of private investments to be raised for the modernisation of thermal power generation facilities with the total generation capacity of 41,000 MW all over the country.

Harbin Electric Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of power plant equipment in China.
