FBK Legal provided insight into specific aspects of offshore legislation

31 October 2016
Dmitry Paramonov, a lawyer at the Tax consulting practice, FBK Legal, gave a workshop to the MSLA students “Offshore business and liability to prosecution: global practices” as part of the ?The magical mystery tour? course. The workshop was devoted to international tax planning issues and specific aspects of offshore legislation.

As explained by Dmitry Paramonov, offshore jurisdictions are quite frequently used among foreign economic players. The Russian legislation has witnessed new norms and regulations over the last two-three years which govern offshore vehicles, relevant tax issues, possession of assets and a number of other novations which the lawyer should be aware of and able to apply.

The lawyers noted, ?Our workshop offers hands-on advice to students who are planning to find their way into the successful career of a lawyer in multinational corporations and law firms, and to lawyers who work with multinationals.?

The course was designed and tailored by the FBK Legal lawyers to provide to the MSLA under- and postgraduates glimpses of case studies. Each presentation of the series offers real legal cases studies. ?The magical mystery tour? course is tailored to introduce those interested to the world of law, specifically, graduates, practicing lawyers and business players.
