A FBK Legal partner at the Annual International Forum "Arctic: Today and the Future"
Alexander Ermolenko, a FBK Legal partner, participated at the 5th Annual International Forum «Arctic: Today and the Future» as the moderator of a panel session «Complex development of transport complex of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation». The event took place in St Petersburg last week.
The discussion brought together management representatives of largest investors who financially contribute to the region, including AO OSK, JSCo RZhD, Sovfracht, PJSC, FESCO, and public government authorities whose efforts directly drive the region’s development, including the Federal Customs Service, the Federal Railway Transport Agency, the Federal Air Transport Agency, the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency.
According to Alexander Ermolenko, given the widest scope of their activities, from railway transport and general aviation in the Arctic to efforts towards improving the efficiency of transport flow customs control, the experts on the panel, top managers and key public officials finally reached common understanding of prospects and ways of the Region’s further development.
In his summary of the discussion Alexander Ermolenko said, «A shared commitment towards elaborating clear rules of the game, a unified, clear and transparent legal and regulatory framework which could be applied to all activities pursued in the Arctic is what brings together all the viewpoints of the Forum participants».
