Checking a Russian branch of a musical instruments manufacturer for competition law compliance in connection to European investigations
A company was being investigated on antitrust grounds in early 2020 over alleged violation of the competition law by manufacturers of musical equipment though restriction of price competition. The investigations resulted in big fines for certain European companies that manufactured musical instruments.
In this regard and to prevent similar claims from the competition regulator in Russia the company asked FBK Legal to check the company for competition law compliance and train its employees.
Lawyers of FBK Legal developed required guidelines and held a training course for employees during which they spoke about abuse of dominance, non-compete agreements, dumping and price control.
