Anna Grishchenkova joined the preparation for the 19th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
Moscow Vis Pre-Moot was held by the law faculty of the Lomonosov MSU as a preparation stage for the 19th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Mood. The main purpose was to prepare the participants for the main competition. This moot is held in English being divided into three steps. Upon every round three best teams and three best speakers are announced.
Anna Grishchenkova, FBK Legal’s Corporate Law practice manager was invited to participate as an arbiter. Experts from different international law companies, such as Clifford Chance, Baker & McKenzie, Noerr and Monastyrsky, Zuba, Stepanov & Partners etc. were present among the experts.
‘This training round is held as a real court sitting, with the students divided into teams presenting plaintiff and defendant, studying world practice court and arbitration cases, being engaged in debates?, - Grishchenkova told us. The lawyer also mentioned high level, at which the event was prepared and held, as well as high qualification of the participants. According to her, Moscow Vis Pre-Moot is a perfect training for the future experts in international private law. As to the practicing lawyers, it gives opportunity to look at the proceedings from the judge?s point of view, to get some ideas for their own job.

Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is an international moot court competition annually held in Vienna under the auspices of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and a number of international arbitration institutions, such as ICC, LCIA, CIETAC, SCC etc. Professors and students of the leading universities from over sixty five countries participate in the moot.
Training pre-moot has been organized by the law faculty of MSU since last three years.
