FBK Legal at Riverport Expo

FBK Legal’s Lawyer Anastasia Shashkova has participated in Riverport Expo dedicated to Russian inland water transport.

In her speech about the legal framework of investment projects Anastasia Shashkova described the current state of affairs in water transportation. She said that to improve river transport infrastructure it is important to carry out more dredging operations. To attract investors to this sphere it is necessary to give them the right to use the soil left from these operations.

“Dredging operations are crucial to extend inland waterways with guaranteed dimensions of navigable channels, which will, in its turn, increase cargo carriage volume. The law should allow investors to be as free as possible in using the displaced soil for any purposes,” the lawyer said.
