FBK Legal's Lawyers Hold Workshops for MSU Students
Nachitka, a week of free workshops for students, postgraduates and young lawyers, has begun at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Project Manager of FBK Legal's Tax Litigation Department Artem Lomize delivered a speech about tax administration in 2018 and connections between tax law mechanisms and other industries.
The workshop was dedicated to relevant tax control issues and methods applied by tax authorities. It also covered such topics as specifics of electronic document flow, interrogations, seizures and examinations.
Current tax control automation methods, according to Artem Lomize, are useful and unavoidable, however the human factor still plays an important role during tax audits. “Now any audit is in some way connected with official enforcement, tax auditors’ functions are becoming closer to those of law enforcement agencies. Tax authorities have adopted many criminal investigation methods,” the lawyer said.
Dmitry Paramonov, Attorney at Law of FBK?s Tax Consulting Practice, will also take part in Nachitka. On Thursday 15 November he will run his workshop titled ?Relevant Issues of International and Russian Deoffshorization Policy?.
Nachitka workshops are given by leading lawyers of the largest Russian and international law firms. They speak about relevant legal issues, professional skills necessary for a lawyer, careers in legal business, and management of law firms, as well as share their experience of career success and personal development.
