FBK Legal at Kutafin Litigation Skills Challenge

FBK Legal has been responsible for the corporate law section of the Third All-Russian Litigation and Public Speaking Skills Competition Kutafin Litigation Skills Challenge held at Kutafin Moscow State Law University.

“This year young lawyers who had showed themselves in the qualification round participated in the final arranged as a moot court competition in seven practices. The main prize of the competition is an internship in the firms responsible for specific sections,” said FBK Legal’s Partner Alexander Ermolenko.

Master's and bachelor's students of top universities participated in the final and dealt with educational cases that were based on real court proceedings. Students had to defend both the plaintiff?s and the defendant?s positions.

?It is not easy to refocus yourself when you are a student and are used to certain working pattern. That is why my colleagues and I were really glad when we heard not a simple report on the subject but a real speech of a trial participant. When they presented legal precedents, cited required regulations and assessed the facts,? said a member of the competition jury FBK Legal?s Head of Practice Elena Shigidina.

The competition in corporate practice was judged by FBK Legal?s team: Senior Lawyer Viktor Ivanov, Head of Practice Marina Balandina, Lawyer Darya Tereshchenko, Senior Lawyers Darya Shevtsova, Elizaveta Kapustina and Anastasia Suvorova.
