FBK Legal at Customs for Business Conference

Viktor Ivanov, FBK Legal’s Senior Lawyer, has spoken at Customs for Business: 2018 in Review, a conference arranged by the event planning agency Sobytiye and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

In his speech about new e-trade opportunities Viktor Ivanov dwelt upon mandatory marking of goods. He underlined that marking will help to clear the market from counterfeits, make it transparent and guarantee the quality of goods.

“It will gradually become mandatory for all market players. For example, this year marking will be required for all shoes starting from 1 July. And by 2024 all goods traded in Russia will be marked and registered in the unified system,” Viktor Ivanov said.

The conference also covered the enactment of laws on Russian foreign trade and their effect on the market and its players.
