FBK Legal on Human Rights

Alexander Ermolenko, a Partner of FBK Legal, has spoken at the Second Cooperation Forum dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals and related business instruments.

He told the audience that in 2017 FBK Legal and the UN Global Compact Local Network performed a complex comparative analysis of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights with respect to Russian laws that regulated these rights and their application. It was discovered that all required laws were in place but they were not applied correctly.

“In 2021, we plan to start a new study to elaborate on the previous work. We will analyse principal changes in Russian laws and their application from 2017 to 2021 and examine best practices of ten foreign countries,” Alexander Ermolenko said.
