FAS Proposes to Increase Fines for Failure to Approve Major Transactions
FBK Legal’s team has reviewed a new draft law prepared by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation.
FAS proposes to increase fines for failure to submit applications for approval of major transactions.
As of now, the maximum fine amounts to 500,000 roubles, and FAS advocates for its increase by 500,000 roubles.
According to FAS, from 2025 the fee for consideration of the application will be 400,000 roubles, which calls for the respective readjustment of the fine amount.
The draft law is now at the stage of public discussion.
