FBK Legal team at IBA conference
FBK Legal Leader Nadezhda Orlova and a firm’s partner Alexander Ermolenko took part in the annual conference under the aegis of the International Bar Association, IBA).
The conference held in Washington D.C., 18-23 September, has brought together over six thousand lawyers from all over the world.
Nadezhda Orlova noted that each year we are seeing more and more participants with the agenda becoming more extensive and topical. The sessions that aroused most interest, says Orlova, were the sessions organised by the Law Firm Management Committee which dwelt upon the specific aspects of management approach in various types of law firms.
“Discussions of various approaches to addressing issues in different countries give much food for thought, including ways of improving management efficiency in Russian law firms,” says Nadezhda Orlova.
Alexander Ermolenko also told that the conference has brought together a broad range of Russian law firms, well-known as well as small and specialised ones.
He went to said, ?One of the world?s largest professionally oriented forums which brought together best-in-class lawyers from over 130 countries through the world featured Russian lawyers? presentations on corporate law, global cooperation between lawyers, law firm management and sanctions regimes and on a number of other issues. I believe, it demonstrates a high level of the Russian legal market and its prolific expansion.?
