FBK won the bid of the Russian Ministry of Transport

The results of the open bid of the Ministry of Transport of Russia for research on “Development of Economically Reasonable Approaches to the System of Financial Guarantees of Passengers’ Rights under a Passenger Air Carriage Agreement” announced.

According to the Bidding Committee’s decision the bid was won by FBK.

“This research’s aim is to develop air carriers’ liability mandatory insurance scheme. We are very pleased to conduct it for the Ministry of Transport,” says Andrew Shkadov, Manager of Corporate Practice at FBK Legal. “So far our lawyers have implemented lots of projects aimed at the development of the aviation industry. Previously, we supported the legalization of electronic tickets in Russia, provided legal advice to the IATA BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) project as regards the development and implementation of the uniform billing and settlement scheme in air carriages, assessed the legal possibility to use entrepreneurial risks insurance to secure the interests of airlines within the IATA BSP project, assessed to what extent our national laws are ready to e-freight and implemented a number of other projects.”.

FBK clients include the International Air Transport Association (IATA), such airlines as Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, VistaJet, American Airlines, Air Bridge Cargo, Aeroflot-Cargo, companies if Russian Helicopters and Kamov holdings, companies focusing on services in the air industry, such as LSG SkyChefs, Airclaims (CIS), and SRG Holdings.
