FBK experts speak at the Eastern Economic Forum
Roman Kenigsberg, head of FBK's Investment Consultancy practice, and ?lexander Ermolenko, FBK Legal's Partner,? participated in the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok on 2-3 September.
In the relevant sections, FBK experts discussed issues related to the implementation of investment projects in the region. In particular, Alexander Ermolenko made a presentation at the session Law and Greater Competitiveness of Russian Far East in the APR dedicated to discussing the prospects of improving legislation to make the region more attractive for investors. In his opinion, the innovations in legal relations that seek to attract more investment need to be analyzed and further reviewed.
"In my opinion, the changes in the law aimed at encouraging investment activity require further improvement and development. We should see to it that doing business in Vladivostok is as comfortable as, for example, in Hong Kong or Singapore," noted the FBK Legal partner.
"The EEF is a great opportunity to present investment projects to a broad range of stakeholders and to assess which of them are the most relevant. The Far East is attractive for investors whose interests span from mining projects, the energy sector, and agriculture to the high tech sector. The goal is to unlock this potential," added Roman Kenigsberg.
The Eastern Economic Forum is the largest and the most prestigious expert platform discussing a broad range of issues related to the development of the Russian Far East and expansion of cooperation with countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.
