At the Eurasian Tax Week, Ekaterina Golubeva took part in a roundtable discussion of tax manoeuvre in the IT sector and spoke about the application of letters issued by controlling bodies about IT company spin-offs and tax audit moratorium.
The lawyer reminded that any activity is tested for distortion of business events. A spin-off of an IT company and the need to comply with all eligibility criteria for preferences are not an exception.
As for the audit moratorium, Ekaterina told the attendees that on-site audits are not the only tax control instrument. Pre-audit analysis is also widespread, so businesses should stay alert.
