Alexander Ermolenko, Head of FBK Legal Corporate Practice on Calculations of experts of Zurich Higher Technical School.

01 November 2011

Alexander Ermolenko, head of FBK Legal Corporate Practice in his interview to Profile magazine commented upon calculations of experts of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich who found 147 transnational corporations (mostly financial ones), which control 40% of global economy. Then the Swiss experts designated 50 “super entities”, among them are Barclays, UBS, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs Group. Alexander Ermolenko presumes that the results of survey of the Swiss scientists “of course, look impressive, however the scheme they drew up does not quite correspond with reality”. “The global cabal has nothing to do with that. The majority of corporations are related with somebody. It is necessary to consider such criteria as manageability”, the expert comments.

“Then one should not forget that the larger corporation is, the greater is chaos within it. A small group of people will not be able to control and manage such great amount of assets efficiently”, Ermolenko is sure. The expert also skeptically looks at elaborating some universal rules, which would be logical, if the world was managed from the single center. “No unified principles of regulation may exist, because it is impossible to compare markets of developing and developed countries. So, what is valuable for some of them is of no value for the others. No common principles may exist even in development of Greece and Germany. Thus, economic conspiracy theory cannot be seriously considered”, Alexander sums up.
