Lawyers of FBK Legal about Amendments in Tax and Civil Legislation.

FBK Legal held a seminar-conference “Amendments in taxation and civil law procedures in 2014–2015” for the customers’ representatives.

The lead lawyers of FBK Legal Dmitry Kudrin, Ekaterina Dbar, Natalia Ryabova, Sergey Gorokhov and Dmitry Paramonov discussed with the participants the key changes in tax laws, clarifications of regulatory authorities on the issues of tax and insurance premium payments; they also told the audience about the innovations in the civil legislation that will affect the activities of the accounting and tax units. Besides, the experts highlighted the major lines of tax policy and the reform of civil laws.

FBK Legal specialists gave detailed answers to the questions of the audience and analyzed a range of situations from practice.

Dmitry Kudrin, heading the Corporate Practice, dwelt in detail on the changes in the RF Civil Code that affect the regulations for the operation of legal entities.

Ekaterina Dbar, Tax Consulting Practice project manager, senior lawyer, spoke about new amendments in the tax law on company’s profit and property taxes, in particular, about the new procedure of levying the real assets, the new loss accounting procedure for assignment of receivables and interest on debt obligations, and other innovations in tax accounting.

The presentation of Natalia Ryabova, Tax Consulting Practice project manager, was devoted to such innovations in the tax administration and tax control as the increase in PIT rates on dividends, the new procedure for the suspension of operations on taxpayer’s accounts, the enactment of obligation for individuals to notify the tax authorities about the property in respect of which they do not receive notification, and also about payments under the insurance, and tax judicial practice.

Sergey Gorokhov, Tax Consulting Practice project manager, senior lawyer, in his presentation made an overview of basic legislative changes in respect of VAT and excise tax both for those enacted and repealed in 2014 and applicable to the reporting for 2014, and for the new RF TC provisions to be applicable in 2015.

Dmitry Paramonov, Tax Consulting Practice attorney at law, made a report at the meeting in which he explained the impact of de-offshorizing on the transactions in foreign jurisdictions and on taxation of such transactions.

FBK representatives Elena Solomatina and Victoria Arsenieva briefed the audience on the prospects of using the information systems for transfer pricing, and specifically, on building the monitoring systems for potentially controlled transactions and the preparation of notifications on controlled transactions.
